Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate opening for an Accounting Specialist in the Woodbury area!

Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice review, coding, and posting
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and adjustments
- Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and supporting documentation
- Track and resolve discrepancies in transactions and account balances
- Support financial reporting by pulling data and preparing schedules
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance requests as needed
- Communicate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve accounting issues
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Dynamics)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
